My last guild application in WoW

- 2nd total (1 for my alt rogue and this for my main rogue, late since I had the same guild on that char from release -> 3 years till this one)

Greetings Sensation,

I am going to show my interest for you guys now, but as it is christmas and most people and guilds are having a break I guess many of you are having so as well. I am currently back home with my folks celebrating the holiday and most likely wont go back to my own apartment for yet another 2-2,5 weeks. Meaning if I am lucky enough to get a trial with you guys - It is going to have to wait untill I get back to my apartment with my proper computer as my laptop here is overheating and really useless in raids (As a little note for those of you who might know me from earlier, yes it is the same laptop I raided MC and partially BWL with back in 2005, searinox aka 2fps :P ) I am farming some PvP items & herbing for potions and alike, aswell as getting badges and such so things like that I still can handle, but probably not any raid as it would affect my gaming so much it might end up being worse having me there than not:P

Allright lets start the application then!

Character:
My characters name is called Searinox which is an undead Rogue. It was created 11th February 2005 back on Burning Blade and it has been my main char ever since except summer 2006 which I'll come back to.

Spec:
I'm currently specced into the Combat and Subtlety trees, however for a PvE situation I'm willing to spec to whatever raidbuild fits the guild best. As it stands now I am dualwielding Season1 Arena Maces, but have a couple starting daggers (Emerald Ripper, Feltooth Eviscerator, Retainer's Blade, The Night Blade, Umbral shiv) if being combat dagger suits better (e.g if all other rogues are sword/mace combat)

Gear:
7 Months ago I desided to stop playing for some time due to studies & social life, and I didnt log in a single time untill early december (Which I kinda failed as I started playing Archlord Online and ended up in joining the guild controlling 75% of the servers facilities (siege towers and Archlord status) but even so it was a good period as I got some distance)

My PvE gear is 8-10 Months old in average, which means its a mixture of Karazhan, heroic and 5man gear. As my armory profile most likely will contain my PvP gear (full Season 1 with some adds), which is 7 months old as my last period being online mostly was PvP oriented, I'll add the items I am currently using for PvE.

I have to admit the PvE gear is far from top tier as it is 7 + months old, even if I only was applying for a 10 man guild - and even more so as I'm applying for you guys in Sensation! Some of the gems are also of poor quality, reason for that is that I used some of the gear for PvP back in Season 1 before I got the set ready and simly never gemmed back for the PvE purpose as I stopped raiding and eventually stopped playing at all as mentioned earlier.

Previous Guilds:

When I first created my rogue on Burning Blade I was playing with some friends of mine which eventually joined the guild Simultas Ixtabiae as some of you oldest members that also came from BB might remember. SI started raiding along with Censere, Pagan Prosperity and Striders in the raiding alliance FFAXCA.

In late April early May 2005 we joined arms and the most active of those guilds formed the guild Refusion - which I am still a member of. In time the guild migrated along with 70% of BB on to our now beloved server Grim Batol. The first year and a half the guild was going great, however alot of original members stopped playing and the guild got new players from other servers and guilds making eventually the current Refusion as it is today. From the start we were among the first clearing MC, BWL, ZG, Aq20 & 40(which we also opened with help from a handful of Ephorate members) but as time passed other more active guilds also came and gave great competition and eventually passed us :) I still never thought of leaving as I would rather do well with my friends instead of jumping ships to the next best option.

The only period of time I was out of Refusion (well my Ud became my alt for 2 months)was summer 2006 when I as a raiding project of my own wanted to see how the raiding was as an alliance rogue(rogue has always been and still is the class of my heart). So in a couple weeks I leveled a female human rogue to lvl 60 called Seari on the then new PvE server Aerie Peak and eventually joined a guild of rerollers called Eternal Guardians. We cleared whole MC & BWL before even any other guild had any chance taking Ragnaros, and moved on into Naxxramas killing 5 bosses there before we eventually could open AQ. The night we finally opened AQ we went in and killed our way through up untill Cthun thrash(incl bug family) when we called it quits and went back later on, and did get Cthun down after a while (due to the rush and not being able to farm the other instances as much before clearing the next ones we were quite outgeared for the Cthun fight but eventually we got it down)

To add as a PvP perspective, november 2005-feb 2006 I also along with alot of good old chaps which some of you still know, dont need to mention names, I was pvping up till rank13 quitting before hitting 14 once we opened AQ gates on GB as Refusion was in need of rogues to raid active.

After the summer I moved back home to work as WoW had helped me fail yet another semester at the university, and as the human alt only was a project I went back to Refusion to continue in Naxxramas where we eventually cleared Abo/Spider/Plague wings and up to 4H in the last wing. however this was as far as we got in Refusion as we lost our MTs one after the other - being forced to recruit new tanks and gearing them up before we could even try the 4H event properly. Ended up in abandoning the last hope of clearing Naxx before TBC arrived.

Well I can mention regarding outdoor that I've killed with the same guys as above, on both servers, Kazzak & Azuregos + Lethon, Emeriss, Taerar & Ysondre. Most kills from dungeons and outdoor early stage were server firsts with factors as gear and tactics while eventually the competition for the kills and also the outdoor bosses became more and more popular and doable for many guilds.

The Arrival of TBC
With the new expansion TBC out alot of my friends in Refusion and other guilds around the server became more active, and within a week or two most of us were lvl 70 where the next step would be getting the proper gear from 5mans and heroic 5mans(Exalted / Revered with all factions of importance for me) and eventually entering Karazhan. We had 2 groups which in time cleared the 10man instance.

Aswell as Karazhan being cleared, we started our 25man raids with Maulgar & Gruul aswell as Magtheridon - Maulgar and Gruul was killed but I never saw to kill Magtheridon as we didnt get proper tries(A handfull of nights with far from perfect setup, but atleast most of us including myself got the drill of the fight and I think I still got it pretty well figured out) on him and eventually I quit due to summer getting close and I was moving to another city to start studies, yet again. Also during this period I got access to SSC and only thing missing on The Eye was Magtheridon - however that requirement is as Ive seen removed now, aswell as heroic requirements have been lowered to only honored reputation.

To mention outdoor PvE TBC Experience I've killed Kazzak and Doomwalker quite a few times.

To add a reason why I am leaving Refusion and applying for you Sensation is that I've falled behind on the attunements to MH & BT, and wanting to do those aswell as getting SSC experience is the real vital part. In addition to this it seems to my eyes that Refusion is getting more and more inactive as the year before has shown, plus I dont consider myself a raid member of Refusion at this point as of my 7 month absense from the game. Most of the people I played with as the orignal and newer members of the guild quit or migrated - I feel this is a good time to try something fresh and more suitable for my upcoming situation.

Activity & other important information

Raiding
First of all, raiding times 21.00 - 01(02/03).00 suits me very well as I then can stay at the university for a while longer than if I were to be home in time for a raid 16-17-18.00 - This is the main reason I am interested in Sensation as a guild. Also having the last part of the week off raiding would help keeping the activitypatterns down to earth and hopefully it wont go insane like it usually have done before in previous MMO's.

I am likely to be able to join most raids since the time suits me very well as lectures often starts around noon and then I have time the rest of the day as said above.

Forums & Ventrilo
I am an eager forumreader and poster, weather it is my own guild, the competition, information webbies or simply other random guilds. Particularily rogues around the realm and also around the globe gets my interest, but information regarding new dungeons, fights and such are among the top priority to get myself updated on. Being off the game for so many months now really has gotten me realise how much I have to update myself on, but so far its been going well. Browsing forums & videosites is a nice thing for when I am bored, and new fights, tactics and so on is always interesting to watch - from other classes as well as a rogue POV one.

As for Ventrilo that has never been a problem before and I doubt it will now either. If you want radiosilence during essential parts of an encounter or someone to chitchat with while grinding I dont have a problem talking (or more importantly keep my mouth shut).

This is similar to my current one on my laptop aswell, and for a raid add the usual raid addons but I like a clear and proper desktop as I need to have overview over the area around me & the people in my raid.

The man behind the character:

Well I'll keep it short, my name is Andreas, 24 years of age and I grew up in midwestern Norway in a town called Vestnes just outside of Molde for you who might know the geography around here :)

In a few weeks now I'm going back to my apartment up abit north in a city called Trondheim where I live with 5 other mates, 3 of them quite geekish while the 2 other try to save me from the geekishness aswell - 2 of the rather computerized guys are actually a couple dudes you might recognize, a guy ingame called Khereth(UD warrior Refusion, later Human warrior Gief Epix, currently ROTS or something) & Hawkon(Dorf hunter Gief Epix, now playing a paladin in Glamour Hawkn & pvping with a mage here on GB called Molyporph or something:P).

Im studying on NTNU the university in the city there on a economy line but its only a 1 year thing taking some random interesting(?!) subjects as I am still planning and doing tests this spring to get into the policeacademy later on next year. Due to this I am forced to work out 3-5 times a week but that wont interfeer with any raiding unless I get a tight schedual.

My gf is living back here where I am currently(hence the long xmas holiday) and every second weekend shes coming up north, but that aswell wont interfeer with any raiding unless she stays longer (which she basically cant do due to her studies) or if we are travelling(got a couple planned trips for this spring and early summer, but only weekends so no worries there either).

To add a short describtion of myself Id say I'm a fairly stand up decent bloke with a good attitude (even tho some people say I whine hehe, well I try not to and I'm not a dramaqueen - just rather that I dont mind people discussing) towards raiding, guildmembers & other guilds - aswell as discretion regarding guildissues and such.

Been playing mainly a rogue my entire WoW career, having some over 220 days /played on my UD alone, where around 45 of them were after hitting lvl 70, and on my human rogue I got 40 days played. In addition I also got a 60 warrior & 61 hunter currently still alive, and a 60 mage with a 60 shaman on an account not active which I shared with a friend so I wont add those 2 in the played calculation. So basically if you add played I'd hit somewhere around 370-400 days which is a fair share of dedication and work put out for my really only active previous guild. As of the rogue part, been playing quite some time and also PvPing alot, but never gotten the ganking feeling before, and I doubt I will ever get it - in any game :P Prefering equal fights and I know how boring it must be to corpsewalk those miles as a lowbie.

Now its for the vouching part, and thats gonna be tricky as Sensation is newer than my knowledge of Grim Batol & World of Warcraft, but the names I know being Chibi, Morph, Mym, Celzur, Xindz, Rakken, Xelinde & maybe more if you might have rerolled and I dont know the new names :-) It is up to those mentioned and whoever to deside what to say about me, all I ask for is for you to open your mind and say what you know and feel about me (if anything at all, after TBC I went quite silent compared to the year before).

Now I am sorry for have stolen your most likely (and hopefully if you read) a fair share of minutes by reading this rather long application, but once I finally deside to do something like this I prefer doing it properly - so I hope you liked it :)

Ran a run in Zul Aman tonight before dinner & going out etc, killed:
Nalorakk, Akil'zon, Halazzi, Jan'alai, Hex Lord Malacrass & Zul'Jin Killed, ZA cleared.

Learned some new things there, used my bros computer as it works better, ZA was great fun - but SSC & The eye is the real target for me atm.

Oh and also realised I had a IRL friend in Sensation, Rifkin/Dondre aka. Viscera *wave* :)
